There will be holes and marks from where the bartacks were. I would suggest going in with an exacto or scalpel and cutting the bartack on top of the webbing (score a couple vertical lines and then 3 or 4 horizontal lines to cut the bottom stitches). This will eliminate the possibility of cutting the fabric and the webbing will be thrown away anyway. You can get some of the holes to close back up if you wrap a towel around your knuckle and scrub the area to get the fabric yarns back in line but it won't be perfect. If any problems come up with this surgery it probably won't be honored with our warranty. Let me know if you have any other questions
