Who wears rubber gloves to clean game ?

I like the easy clean up aspect and I find nitrile gloves give me a better grip once my hands get bloody.

I always bring a disposable field dressing kit made by HS which I keep in my backpack. It includes rubber gloves and sleeve protectors so I can stay clean. I put the sleeve protector on first and then put the rubber gloves over them. They are cheap, effective, and when I am done I stuff the plastic into the body cavity when I drag out the deer.

I carry them now. Makes it easier to wash off after. On bears it is because of triq. I do not want it and they all have it. I shoot the hell out of them so, every kill kit has gloves now.

I don’t wear gloves, I’ve tried and they seem to just end up a slippery, bloody, torn up mess and I end up tossing them aside.

I started using black nitrile gloves a few years ago. Don’t have to use as much water to clean up.

I generally don't use gloves, but I have and think I will continue to use nitrile gloves when dealing with bears. This last spring I had a situation arise from dealing with a brown bear, that very could have cost me my thumb. At some point I'll start a thread in the bear forum as a precautionary tale of what and what not to do when dealing with dirty ole brown bears.

All I can think of is "city boys". Not saying you're wrong but starting to think I should pack gloves, an apron, face shield, and hazardous waste kit. It all makes things easier.

I never used to, but now I keep a bunch of pairs of nitrile gloves in my kill kit. They don't weigh anything and there is no telling how long it will be before I wash my hands or take a shower.

It's just so easy to take the gloves off, throw them in your game bag and you have clean hands, no fat and guts under your fingernails.

I do use them and am one of the odd balls who is allergic to deer blood and dander. It causes my hands to break out and itch and I’ll start sneezing. I think it is Randy Newburg on YouTube who has a video saying he is as well and says he also has to take a couple of Benadryl before starting to process an animal.

Had a buddy contract brucellosis from field dressing a deer one year. Out of commission for a month. I work for a living. Don’t care to spend my PTO layed up at home. Its cheap and easy protection. And as others have mentioned, easy clean up.

Same here. Never wore gloves until about 4 years ago. Now I always wear glove and most the time goggles and a dust mask as it can get really severe to where eyes swell shut and throat starts to swell.

I’m allergic to their dander more specifically than their hair but it goes hand in hand. Once the hide is off I’m just fine and don’t have to worry anymore.

If I hunted in the backcountry or up in the mountains like a lot of you, I might use gloves. But I hunt basically in my backyard. My deer pole is about 20' outside my backdoor, I have a whole well full of water, with a hose right next to the door to rinse my hands and the deer.

I never used to but this last year I started carrying cut resistant gloves and nitrile gloves with me. A lot of my processing is solo and I like having my hands protected. The nitrile gloves make having clean hands so easy.

I wear them because I have a thing with my hands. I can’t stand for my hands to be dirty. Yes I’m weird. I wear gloves fishing, working or anything that can get gunk on them. I can be covered in mud from head to toe just not my hands

Yeah I’m weird to. I always wear gloves except back when I was working on my Dads fishing boat and I was young/dumb and macho. Then I got salmon poisoning twice from open cuts mixing with bloody salmon hands.
