I've got a pair of guide pants, and am looking into a pair of Kanab's, mainly due to how well they breath, my only concern is their durability? Can anyone give me their thoughts or experiences with using kanab's in dark timber? Did they hold up well?

Thanks,
Ron

2 weeks this season in one pair of kanabs. One small snag on left calf. Almost all dark timber. They are my go to archery pant.

I do, they are my favorite archery pant. I've had no durability issue that any other pant wouldn't have, I hunt dark timber and also bust oak brush in them without issue.

I don't ever wear rain pants. I wore my kanabs for seven hours in a pretty decent rain. I hung them up next to the fire for a few hours before bed then stuck them under my bivy and slept on them over night and they were dry the next day when I woke up.

I've worn them for a few seasons and like them quite a lot. This year I bought a pair of Kuiu Attacks that I like a little bit more, especially if it's warmer, but the Kanabs are definitely great. I'm confident wearing them early season archery elk in Wyoming hunting dark timber to December tree stand hunting in Kansas with a baselayer or two under them. Mine have one rip in the shin from getting hung up on a sturdy deadfall, but I'd imagine anything would have ripped on it. I never even patched it as it hung up on a doubled section and only the outside layer ripped and it hasn't ripped any further since. I think they are a great product and will likely switch back to them as soon as it gets a little colder here in Kansas.

Only problem I've had is the button pulling out. FLs Cust Serv response was basically to pound sand, which didn't impress me or inspire me to ever again pay hundreds for made in China equipment.

Are you talking about the button on the leg for rolling them up? I've considered cutting them off as I don't anticipate ever rolling them up in the field and it's one more hard thing to feel uncomfortable if it between you and something you are kneeling or leaning on. My brother's first pair arrived with both buttons on the same side of the leg and he returned them for a new pair with no problem, actually getting an 'upgrade' in the process as he'd originally ordered brown (like mine) which were out of stock so they sent him the more expensive ones in ASAT that match his tops.

No, over the fly.
I actually did roll the legs alot during early rifle for hiking in/up. It was so freaking warm!
