Wicked Twisted Road is my favorite album by them. I also really like Bulletproof.

Solid choices. You can also go on iTunes and preview all songs off any of the albums there, might help you choose.

I love Reckless Kelly's music! Got the chance to see them live here in Lubbock a few weeks back and they didn't disappoint. His brother is the is the lead guy for Micky and the Motorcars which is another decent band.

Just added these albums through Amazon and have been enjoying the music so far. Guy Like Me, off of Bulletproof, is my favorite so far, love the harmonica.

Big fan.

Mickey & The Motorcars is great as as well.

Doesn't hurt a lot of them are born and bred Idaho boys.

Right here. Another one you will like is the William Clark green band. Open up slacker or pandora and just create. Station with either and you'll have a whole list of new favorite songs

just created this station on Pandora, loved this right away. Thanks for the suggestion I am always looking for great music that isn't so mainstream and has a good message in it.

Living near Austin I get to see bands in this genre fairly regularly. Check out Turnpike Troubadours, they are tops on my list at the moment.

All of their albums are great. I especially like "Somewhere in Time" (its a collection of Pinto Bennett covers)

Checkout Micky and the Motorcars, they're even more badass....(led by the other two Braun bros, Micky and Gary)

oh man, if you like them, we can turn you on to a ton of dirt road country. I went to college in Lubbock with Pat Green and know that music well. When we used to watch Pat, it was 25 cent lone star light and free CDs at Stubbs barb B Q....oh what I would give to live that over again....Wool EVERYWHERE !!

You will also like:
Jason Boland and Stragglers
Max Stalling
Bleu Edmondson
Sontey Larue
Pat Green - his old stuff is better
Many others...

All great suggestions so far. Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Cody Canada and The Departed, The Randy Rogers Band, The Great Divide, Corey Smith and Lincoln Durham are also worthy of a listen if you are looking to get away from the mainstream stuff. I am with littlebuf, mainstream radio makes me want to puke for the most part. All these bands are extremely talented and worth a trip to see them if they are in your area. Support the small guys!

I hear that wool in Lubbock is pretty good at giving you things you don't want... :D

We knocked down our fair share, no issues....but that was many moons ago...who knows these days

BTW, If you have ever seen them, it might be worth it :D
