Who is using 18x Binos?

Been looking at getting 18X binos from vortex or Maven and wanted to get feed back form others who have been using them. How much more useful are the 18x magnification compared to the 10X that i have already. Do you find the 18x replaces your spotting scope needs? I'm Hunting the NW states for all deer, elk and bear.

I bought a pair of Vortex UHD 18s last season for a couple western mule deer hunts and really enjoyed using them. With the extra power and really good glass it definitely gave me an advantage over the guys I was hunting with using 10X binos and sold my spotter to one of the guys on that trip. There are times that a spotter would help clearly identify the animal at longer distance but or me it was more for comfort and less eye fatigue for my aging eyes. I wanted to be able to glass for longer periods of time and not so much needing to look for specific animals. I also carried a pair of 10X for stalking.

I used my mavens last season. When i was sitting down theyd get probably about 90% of my tripod time. Heres some photos with a phone scope at a mile. I probably had some added phone zoom obviously but i remeber when i forst saw the deer i instantly could see the antlers and had a rough idea how big they were. And on a bigger 4x4 i could plainly see all the points
The pictures dont really do the clarity any justice probably from the camera zoom though so keep that in mind
