Who grows these for hunting?

My wife hates it, but a razor hasn't touched to face in over 2 years. Have to trim the hedge every once in a while to tame it a bit when she takes me out in public, but she's just started not taking me out in public. I think it's just better that way.

My wife hated it to. Then one day after a few years I cut it really short. Like 5 o'clock shadow short. I think she went into beard shock. Now she hates it if I trim to short. I always knew deep down she loved my beard even after years o expressed deep dislike lol.

I've always sported a good chin cover, one day she convinced me to knock it down so she could see my whole face. One look and all I got for a response was "ok, now grow it back". It's never seen the light of day since.

Trying to go as long as I can at my job and for now nobody has said anything so I'm just gonna keep let'n it go.

To paraphrase Shakespeare: "He that has a beard is less than a youth and he that has no beard is less than a man."

I haven't had some sort of facial hair for over 16 years, other than a few days after I lost a bet and had to shave my entire head, face included. I haven't been beardless for at least two now. I thought about going down to a goat for the summer but I just couldn't do it.

This is how it has been going at my house. She tries to make me presentable to the public... and eventually just gives up every time... its a lost cause really

Bearded 365. I do keep my beard trimmed the same length as my hair (wife likes it that way), so since the top won't grow like it used to the beard never reaches Duck Dynasty status.

I hack mine when the fleece zipper gets ahold of it or I get a cold and shoot snot down it after a good sneeze. Kinda like the sunny side up post. Hehe

A mustache and Goatee has been my hunting hair for the past 5 seasons or so. When I received news I drew my Wyoming Deer tag I let the full beard loose.

One customer, an old Irishman, squinted and asked me "Son, Why do you cultivate on your face, what grows wild on yer arse?"

I'm still laughing.

Another upshot: Should you ever stumble and do a face plant while in full beard...instant ghillie suit for your face!

You all are making me quite jealous. Im pretty sure if I had never shaved in my life, youd never be able to tell.

I'm stealing that pic! Beard all the way! Mine comes and goes. Every once in a while it just gets too hard to eat, so it gets time to trim and start over again. The wife fought it for a couple years, but after a while she didn't want me to shave!

Don't feel bad I grow a decent beard and I still get beard envy When I see a really thick beard.

+1 . I've got a little grey around the temples and a few on top but my flavor saver and love mat are turning white. I'm mostly blonde so I'm getting away with it for now but I sure wish I had my color back and I could grow some great chops.

Funny how that works.... whenever I'm single I'm pretty clean shaven and it works. But whenever a relationship starts they learn to like it and prefer it to clean shaven. Just my experience.
