Wondering who carries one of these for hunting. Do you keep them just in case of emergencies or you use them to stay warm on those chilly mornings before the sun comes up. They kind of strike my interest as I was cruising the Internet.
I carry mine in my pack every time I go out. It has pretty replaced my puffy in sit and spot situations. I keep it in my truck and have used it during most of my kids soccer games, I'll have another by spring. One of the best pieces of equipment I have used.
It's a staple item during November deer season for me. Both of my kids carry them as well. Mostly use them as insulation between us and the ground. Very useful for breaking the wind while on stand.
I take a Doobie with me pretty much always now. It has even become my warm weather sleep system as well as my go to tv watching/reading blanket. It is well worth the weight and space.
I carry a USGI woobie in my hunting daypack. It's fantastic just to throw over my lower half in a tree stand or as full body cover in my Hammock seat.
I've never used it as an overnight quilt, well, once hammock camping on an 80° summer night..... but it's always with me during cold weather TN deer hunts.
