Whitetail caught in fence...

Wow, that definitely doesn't fall into ethical hunting . Nature is frighteningly cruel.

No one else finds it odd that not a hair is moved on the whole remaining part of the deer and the fence is barely disturbed. I predict it was a hunter shot buck left overnight, eaten by coyotes then put in the fence for a picture.

See what you are saying. . . But look at the wire under the jaw, deer could of passed out/soficated very quickly limiting struggle.

Crazy! Photo. I found one last year hunting turkeys in WA, wasn’t quite as brutal looking as that though. 96E1FDE6-2926-463B-AF3E-12A2A77A80A3.jpeg

Interesting photo. I too find it odd that there is no visible trauma to the neck on the wire, no damage to the fencing, or marking to the antlers. Plus the front legs which would have been between two sets of fencing are gone, but the back legs which are free and clear are still intact. Animals just like people can die in some weird ways, but I'm a bit skeptical on this one.

The wire across the neck is deep, so likely the deer was alive, ie, pliable, when caught. Plus it is too high up to reach the ground so suffocation would have been fairly quick. The front legs come off easily, the rears are more difficult due to the ligaments. Crazy pic either way.
