Which Tikka should I buy?

Does anyone have any leads on a factory ember stock only? I want one for my 223. Found one on eBay but didn’t know if there were any companies that sell stocks only.

I mean I understand where your coming from... Probably not an issue. I will say my 10.5LB tikka takes much less effort to shoot good groups at 100 or any yardage than my 8.5lb tikkas do. Its significant. I bring my CTR along as a barometer when doing load development for other guns. If I think that Im just not shooting well that day Ill shoot the heavy gun and see how things look. The damn thing seems to always shoot well. This makes it easier to move on from the load that isnt shooting for me... I dont know if that makes any sense....
I mean, how much better do you need it to shoot? These are ladder test groups with a 20” T3X Roughtech with 155 & 175 TMK. There’s 2.5 grains of powder difference from low to high in each of these groups.

There are also places that don't charge sales tax for out of state purchases, so you save there as well.
Only time I buy ammo in person is if I am going to test a rifle and will go buy two separate boxes of ammo at the local store. They are reasonably priced and not worth shipping. But I will buy my large quantities online for sure.

I have one of the orange webbed ones from a roughtek ember. on a tikka I shot 5 times last week I was going to sell if youre interested, i was just waiting on my new stock for a box to ship in lol.

I buy ammo online, as do most people under 70 these days.

With shipping cost, I have found it cheaper to buy local unless I was going to buy a whole bunch at one time.

The other exception are harder to find cartridges. I buy 280AI & 6.8W ammo online because it is possible to buy different loads easily.

Your local stores must not have the markup of the shops here.
Cabela's isn't shy about their ammo prices, but I don't buy enough factory ammo per year to get worked up about it.

Reloading components are my big shooting expense. I get them online.
