I’ve got a 6.5 prc that I feel comfortable shooting inside of 600 yards. It’s currently doped with 120 grain Barnes ttsx bullets. Have taken two bucks with it just shy of 400 yards with this round. Dropped dead one shot.
I drew Montana deer/ elk combo and have been considering changing the round to shoot 156 grain Berger EOLs. This change would be for the event I have a chance at an elk. Not sure if I should even muck with it since the copper bullets seem have good force and momentum. I’ve heard good things on the bergers as well.
I don’t hand load but have been shooting Choice ammunition rounds exclusively and have both of the rounds above from them on-hand.
Thoughts?
