I'm thinking of ordering a kifaru UL duplex to try and I'm not sure if I should get the 26" or the 24"

It will mostly be used with a cargo panel for hunting whitetail as a day pack and used for packing in tree stand and 50lb bags of feed for my trail cameras. Will also be used for 7 to 10 day hunts out west about 1 time a year.

I'm 5'11" but wonder if the 26" will be to high for using it as a day pack in the woods all the time

I am 5'11" also and I thought the 26" would be too tall. After hauling 85lbs with my 24" frame, it sags down slightly and results in less shoulder lift. I switch over to the 26" frame and it is much better. Now with 60lbs or less it might be fine to go with the 24".

I would definitely go 26" and have the extra lift when needed. With the new frame, you can run it at the 24" lift if needed, and 2 more inches of frame shouldn't be very noticeable, as it doesn't stick up over your head anyways. I'm 6'3", so it was no question for me, but I still think the 26" is the way to go for most average+ height men.

Becca M is 5'3 and runs a 26", it's kind of like having a big bag, nice to have when needed.

Went through the same decision this fall and started with a 24". Couldn't get enough lift after 80lbs so swapped for the 26" and am very happy I did. I have used it for elk and whitetail and it works great for either. Go with the 26"!

Have always gotten plenty of lift from a 24" frame but I'm only 5'8"
