I have no experience with either but based on the specs and fill the Chamberlain is in a whole different classification than the LPP

I have the LPP, not the Chamberlain. I'd agree the Chamberlain is in a different class of warmth. I wouldn't swear to the accuracy of this chart, but it's what I saved when doing my homework on puffy jackets.

Warmest to least warm
Chamberlin (11oz of down)
Montbell Permafrost (9oz of down)
Sitka WS down (around 9oz of down synthetic mix)
Kuiu Superdown Pro (5oz of treated down)
Kifaru LPP (3.6oz synthetic)

I didn't realize the chamberlin had 11oz of down. Where did you find that spec?

Chamberlin in my opinion. It has the warmth edge over the LPP but the LPP has the durability on its side in my opinion.

The chamberlin has been okay for me thus far though on durability though.
