Which gun would you take?

You misunderstand, both are bigger than is needed.Obviously the 375 is the bigger of the two. I thought that was so painfully obvious that it didn't need to be stated.

Yes, exactly right. My misunderstanding. I, like you, think the .375 is the best choice.

That makes sense, the brand of the rifle makes almost no difference.
For the record, I am a huge fan of the Ruger and its trigger system as well as the fact no scope mounts are needed. Rifles with side plates on both sides of the trigger are an accident waiting to happen in wet conditions where the temperatures can drop below freezing.
Been there, done that, and learned my lessons on Kodiak.
So, between a Tikka and a Ruger 375, Ruger 375 wins all day long.

Serious question but all the tikkas are the same thing other than a wood/plastic/laminate stock. What would be the deciding factor for you based on which tikka he has?

I was asking the other guy… medveyet… I wanted to know which model 9.3x62 he has…

Out of those 2 the 300 WM

Going on a 14 day float trip for moose. Which gun would you take? 300WM with a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20 or a Ruger Guide Gun 375 Ruger with a Trijicon 1-6.

Definitely the Ruger as you can use it as a paddle, or pole through the riffles, or baton your daddy's Randall knife through alder driftwood.

I like my 1964 (misses being a 'pre' by about 6 serial numbers) model 70 in 375 for lots of things. More than a 2 shot string is not one of them.

I just got a Tikka M690 in 9.3x62. I was asking medveyet which model he had.
