Which glass point to choose between?

There is some country I would like to glass, but to glass the majority of the area I have to glass it from the south looking north, from downhill looking uphill, mainly looking at ridge tops and into a few cuts/draws. There is another option, probably the better choice, to glass the edge of that area from the east (sun at my back) looking into an east facing slope which allows me to see into a couple little areas with north facing slopes which may hold some feed in this fairly dry/hot country. This choice offers a little less area to look at though, from a mile away which is more distance than the first choice. Both have advantages/disadvantages to getting to glassing spots but either is manageable. Is the second choice the best option of the two given those couple points? That is what I am leaning towards to start at the moment. The first spot may be better in fall when temperatures are cooler. Thanks in advance. Hope everyone is having a good summer!

Can you only hit one of the two once? Do you have morning and/or evening?
I'd glass them both but if you only get one go at it I'd go with what let's you see the most country.

If you only get to pick one, I'd definitely lean toward the second choice. I do not like spotting from below. However, with that east facing slope, in the morning, expect very short periods of deer being up and around before the sun hits them and they head to bed.

The only way to glass it is from below or the east slope from the side unfortunately. It will be a morning sit from the east More than likely. The other spot from the south could be either morning or evening. And I contemplated starting from one and going to the other since I want to set up trail camera near the area where I would glass from the south. I just have limited time. Maybe two mornings and an evening to check a few different spots. so I’m trying to get a good plan together to efficiently check out some new areas for Mulies. I know they are there but haven’t got them patterned really and want to figure out some habits. I mainly need more time out there, but the young kids beckon lol. Wouldn’t trade it for the world though. Thanks guys!

Got back from the trip. Sure wish I had an elk tag! Saw 13 different bulls. Best one will be around 340 conservatively. 3 nice 6-6 though and several nice 5-5. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to borrow a spotter in time for the trip so I had to adjust plans and therefore didn’t glass really at all. Found a couple draws with old buck sign which I plan to focus on once season rolls around.
