I’m pretty well set on getting a 7mm PRC, which has taken a while because I’m so indecisive. I’m not in a position where I want to spend the money on a custom build so I’m leaning between a Seekins Havok PH3, Tikka (Roughtech?) and Bergara (wilderness Sierra?).
Looking for some recommendations from the Rokslide experts. Thanks!

Can’t speak to Bergara’s or Tikka but I have a Seekins PH2 in 6.5 PRC. Shoots amazing. Put three shots inside a quarter at 300. The trigger has zero creep, such a crisp break like a muzzleloader with a set trigger. My only beef is the mag release in inside the trigger guard.

Recently picked up a Bergara MGLite in 7 PRC. It shoots well, but the magazine catch retention screw loosened pretty quickly, and it continuously failed to load from the magazine the second time at the range. Took a while to figure it out, but I tightened it and hopefully it is fixed (hopefully!). Not sure if it is a QC issue or one-off, but it is in my head now, and I will remember it if/when I get another rifle.

I've always heard nothing but good about Bergara, yet every single one I ever been around has been the most inaccurate 700 action ive seen. thats just my personal experience. in the 7prc group on fb plenty guys lately sending 7prc Seekins back because of inaccuracy. if it were me i would look into the 307 action, tikka action, or 110

I haven’t given Weatherby much thought. Do you have any personal experience with these rifles.

depending on what you wanted you wouldn’t be far off from a custom rifle cost with the seekins. I built mine for 5700, but if you takeoff the scope and suppressor I’m at 2300 including the gunsmith. And everything is what I wanted it to be. So roughly 500 more.

7PRC is the only time I wont recomend a Tikka, unless you are swapping barrels. Out of your list I would do the Seekins.

You dont have it listed But I would consider an X Bolt personally.

Do you mind sharing the details on what components you used?

Of course.

Tikka action from unknown
Omr barrel 18 in carbon
omr stock ( can’t find the exact one on website right now)
Bottom metal from unknown
Bix n Andy trigger
Rings are unknowns tikka ring with bubble

That was 2300. And you could save some cash if you wanted a steel barrel, tikka stock, and the trigger spring. My guess would be around 1800. Which is honestly what I should have done.

I’m getting Bergara wilderness b -14 series set up now.

I'm definitely projecting my own biases but if I was going to buy an off-the-shelf 7prc, I'd have to have a Ruger Hawkeye in stainless and walnut.

I voted "Other", just to give you some other options.

I've considered both, but don't own either:

1. Barreled action from Bergara - their Premier action, their barrel for ~$1200. Get the trigger and stock/chassis of your choice.

2. Springfield 2020 - Boundary or Waypoint. They have AG stocks and a TriggerTech. I've seen them as low as $1200 for complete rifle.

Not to hijack the thread but I just built a 18” tikka 7prc as well. If you reload I would be interested in speeds, powder, load data if u have any.
