Looking for real world experience between these two on eastern whitetail.
Shooting a 20” barrel .308.
Longest shots ever would be 275 yards.
90% of the shots will probably be < 150 yards.
Accuracy with either round MOA or better if I eat my Wheaties for breakfast.
This is my first .308 gun. Just trying to know which one would be best, although I think either is probably more than adequate.

You are correct both will do the job. Don’t overthink it, use the one that shoots the best.

Either one. But I prefer the ELDx cause you will get some heavy fragmentation and more tissue damage. But, that’s why others will use copper. I used a FGMM 185 juggernaut for my bison hunt.

Try them both. Mono people usually dont like the fragments from a cup and core. Cup and core dont like the smaller wound channels of monos. Both will work fine. Generally the eldx is better if you shoot the crease for vitals. Mono more of a shoulder shot. But at that range both will work for either shot. You may need to spend a few years filling tags to see the differences for yourself. Pay attention to wound channels and take notes about the differences in the entire process.

Since both will kill them and then some especially at your distances. I'd grab the TTSX for recoil and potential lead ingestion reasons.

If you really want to crush them, I'd opt for the Superformance 150 SST or possibly 168 ELDM.
