Which Arrow Hoyt RX-3?

I just recieved my new Hoyt RX-3 and I need to order some new arrows. It's 70# with a 28 inch draw. What do you guys like?

What are you going to do with it? I'm going to try out some day six arrows this year for elk and deer. I'm building some 625-650 grain arrows for my hoyt defiant turbo, 70 pounds. I'm interested to see how that performs.

I'll be archery hunting bears in the spring and likely elk and deer next fall.

I have an RX3 70/29. I'm shooting Easton Axis Match Grade 300 spine at 28". I have a 50 grain Easton HIT insert, 25 grain Iron Will Footer (showing up on Monday), and 125 grain head. I'm running AAE Max Stealth vanes in a 3 fletch. They shoot fine without the footer, but I want the extra protection from mushrooming/splitting and the extra FOC. Archer's Advantage puts this just into the optimal spine category from the over spined side, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Axis Match Grade 300s with 50gr Brass inserts. You could run either 100 or 125 heads with that set up and it’ll tune great.

Just picked up a helix, I’m currently drawing 29 1/2 at 65lbs. Was also thinking of running the axis match grades, just waiting for black ovis to get more spines in stock to build me some.

For those running the axis, any advantage over the FMJ’s? (Besides being a bit faster).

FMJ will dent if you smack them together on a target, which is why I switched to Axis. I’ve found the Axis to be just as durable and without that drawback.

Keep it simple - do this. You can run 100's, 125's, and optionally one of Iron Will's new footers if you want. Lighted nocks are also a viable option on 5mm arrows, not so on 4mm.

On FMJ's - I haven't used them, but I've heard not as durable in that they can bend, and retain that bend.

Not what you asked, but I've run the rampage because the Spartan is larger - I personally prefer the 5mm arrows. Compared to my Axis the rampage was lighter, and probably a little less durable than the Axis.

I have some match grade axis 300’s with 50 grains of brass and 125 heads and victory rip tko elite 300’s with 75 of brass and 125 heads. Both are awesome I haven’t found one tougher than the other the rip are 8.8 gpi so I was able to put a little more weight up front and still be lighter final weight. I’ll be making or buying footers for both for extra strength. I have some 300 VAPs I’m building this year also
