Which action for 7mm backcountry.

If Hornady doesn’t get involved with BC then I don’t think it will survive. And without being able to reload it currently it could create even more problems down the road.
It is reloadable. At minimum Lee is making a set of dies for it.

There’s a few videos on YT as well.

Remington has 3 ammo offerings, but it’s the same parent company as federal.

Hornady I don’t think will touch it cause it out performs their offerings. Similar to why they don’t load 6.8 western, but that’s catching steam.

You can reload the 7BC and there are reloading components available. Virgin cases will be available soon as well

I am hopeful another reloading company releases dies but I have watched a few videos and read some post on people reloading it and it looks promising. I ended up ordering a custom barrel and putting on a seekins ph3.

I agree on hornady not touching it for the same reason of the 6.8w which I love. It competes directly with their offerings, mostly the 7prc.

Just wanted to give follow up for anyone who may read this in the future. I ended up going with a seekins ph3 and custom 16.5" barrel from SJA. The rifle shoots fantastic and the velocities are higher than expected. I chose against the kelby purely due to no venting holes for the gas. I had a factory hornady round blow up once and didn't appreciate the gas in the face from that action so want the vent holes. Would have done tikka but wanted a 16" and chose seekins over all else. Would have no hesitation going tikka.
