I have only shot 88 eldms out of my ARC, they aren’t exactly fur friendly.

Did the shot hit the spinal column and the explosion of bone shards caused that?

A lot of hunters seem to use a 22 caliber on deer/antelope but I won't! A 6mm is minimum on deer/antelope for me but I'm an older hunter! Been hunting since I was 14 and I'm 78 years old now!

Personally, I dont see the hype of the 22 ARC (in a bolt gun at least).

Unless you want 22-250 performance in an AR, otherwise I just dont get it. If you reload I suppose, whatever. But factory ammo (locally here at least) still favors the triple deuce 50 (and surprisingly, the .224 Val, must be old stock )

The 22 Creed comes with some pretty big velocity advantages, but at GREAT cost compared to the 22-250 (throat/barrel life).

Fur damage?

Who cares?! They arent worth the sweat equity to drag back to the pickup right now, and probably wont be for some time. If youre shooting high end factory ammo, youre barely covering the cost of your boolit for a carcass dog.

Ive got four 22-250s here that probably havent shot but four coyotes in the last few years. Thinking im gonna turn one into something more useful, and it WONT be another .22 cal!

Yea the 22 arc is for AR platform. Makes no sense to me in a bolt gun. In an AR sure. But a bolt gun the 22-250 and 22 creed take the cake.
