There are numerous but considering you said factory ammo is a must it would largely depend on what bullets you want to shoot.

I'm a 22-250 fan but I don't know that you will find much if any ammo for it that isn't loaded with lighter varmint bullets which would be fine for everything you mentioned except deer.

The factory 22 Creedmoor ammo is geared more around using the heavier 22cal bullets so you're on the right track with wanting to add one of those.

Even though I'm a fan of the 22-250 for the purposes you've described and the need for factory ammo Hornady's new 22 ARC would either be my first choice or a coin flip between it and the 22 Creed.

There's always the 223 which probably has the widest range of factory ammo available for it and if you don't already have one everyone needs at least one if not three or four 223's. :)
Absolutely no reason to consider a 22 ARC bolt gun now that factory ammo exists for 22 creed IMO, maybe I am missing something.

I was under the impression that it's worth it for the AR platform?
That would be the only reason to consider it because it is on the AR-15 platform and lighter. With that said, I took the extra 1-2lbs weight penalty for my thermal gun and shoot a 22 creed in the AR-10 platform.

Interested in the same (22 Creed in AR platform). Can you share your build?

I run a 22-250 seemed with 223 had to many runners or double taps but I'm building a 22 creed after hunting a contest with a friend that had one

Well I got a smoking deal on a horizon so now can’t wait to get out and shoot. It’s been windy and frigid cold so patiently waiting for the weather to turn.

Congrats on the horizon. The 22creed is a Helluva round Nosler has recently announced some factory offerings. One of my hunting partners uses 1776 ammo and another uses allymunitions coyotero in his. Post a range report once you get some time with it.

Very cool setup there!

I don't think i could walk by a horizon 22 creed if I found a deal on them either.

Finally had a chance today to get out. 40 degrees and no wind.

Shot factory Hornady eldx 80 grain and choice ammo 77 grain tmk

Both types shot great! I don’t have it fully dialed yet so wasn’t shooting for groups but was able to get 40 rounds down the tube with an omega 300 suppressor. From visual it seeed the groups were better with the tmk.

Recoil is almost next to nothing. I had my 7prc with and man it feels like you are shooting a 22lr next to the 7.

The tmk had a max velocity of 3080fps. The Hornady had a max of 3043 but would drop off faster in a 5 shot string.

My new problem is I have never owned a night force before and comparing that next to my leupold vx5 was crazy. Now my other rifles might need night forces on top.

What nightforce over vx5? And why?

On this rifle I put on a NF nx8 2.5-20x 50 sfp.

All my other rifles have the leupold 4-16x44 vx5hd.

Just wanted to try a NF, was looking at higher zoom for this rifle. To me side X side the glass on the NF is better and I can get the parallax clearer. Take that with a grain of salt. It was 1 range session at 100 yards on a clear sunny day.
