Does anyone have any idea where I can buy a Zermatt Origin Long Action Magnum for less than the MSRP rate of $1,000? Do they run black friday deals on them? I'd love to build a nice long range hunting rifle with interchangeable bolt face capability and from everything I've read Zermatt Origin is the best value. However, I'd like to try to build it out as cost consciously as possible. lol

whenever a company has a 12-15 week backorder, it doesn't make much sense to offer a discount.
That said...IMO, you can either just pay sticker, or wait for a used one. I have 7 Zermatt TL3s...and at least 3 of them I bought on the used market. No one would be able to tell which is which.

Nice. You must of had great experience with them to have that many lol. I'm still new to the forum and learning my way around so if you come across one for sale let me know! Thanks!

Front range will hook you up. I have 3 total now and I love them. My long action nitrided version is butter smooth. I also have a bead blasted short action from NSS which is pretty cool.

2nd vote for NSS. I own 4 origins, all bought new. Looked for deals for a long time, only sale I saw in the last couple years was Brownells closing out some models like a year ago. Bought 2 from NSS, full price but he had inventory of bolt knobs, rails (SA have options, LA is 20MOA only), and bolt faces so you can get what you want where others had low inventory or only some faces. Built a 6.5 prc for my son's elk hunt this fall on a SA with a savage take off barrel, it put 4 shots in 0.6 inches with federal terminal ascent and both Hornady factory loads were sub MOA. This has a trigger tech rough diamond which is noticeably better than my other triggertechs, which I already loved. Origins and trigger techs seem to be a very good match. Good luck!

I absolutely LOVE Zermatt.
I got one of the first TL3 actions from the original pre-order when theynwerenstill BigHorn coming off the SR2. All mine are SA TL3s and I haven't gotten an Origin...but i do know its excellent. Just has a couple less features.

The interchange bolt heads and handles, swapable moa rails and CRPF features make them easily in the top of the list for quality and features. You might find one that feels better but not at this price point with this many features.

How do you like the titanium action?
Its solid, not quite as smooth as my steel zermatts. I don't have a ton of rounds through it tho like my other zermatt models, prob 400 or so. For the price/weight there are other all steel actions I'd go with VS the Ti3. But you don't get the CRF feature with those options.
