Where to start?

So after seeing as many coyotes (and several bobcats) on my summer deer trail cams I decided to buy a call- a FoxPro Shockwave- and try my hand at coyote hunting. I went this morning and set up and then laughed at myself before I ever even pushed a button. I realized I had no freaking clue where to even begin calling to a coyote. I used some of the FoxCast strings of calls that were pre programmed and after a couple hours headed home.

I would love to learn about the do’s and dont’s and the whys and how and etc that go along with this. Anyone have a good reference place for reading or watching that is great for a complete beginner?

Google. Predator Masters forum might be good to search around on. Use a lot of the same hunting techniques you do for deer, staying quite, don’t skyline your self. You want to get into and out of your stand unnoticed as much as possible.
