where to start for a lightweight custom

Well did the rounds and checked out the tikkas and gotta say it was refreshing to see a nice selection of choices in calibers for lefties... The 300wsm caught my eye but I got distracted by a 338-378 weatherby... Probably not a lightweight mountain gun but it's lighter then my 416 that i hunted goat with;)

That .416 is probably adequate for goat!! Pound for pound they are the toughest critters to kill that I have hunted!!
If bears were as tough as our goats, it wouldn't be safe to go into the mountains!!! :eek:)
I'm also a lefty,
Most of the best handgun shooters I have known have been leftys!!

Last year I put together a standard Tikka Lite (not fluted). 300WSM, Leupold 2.5-8x36, Manners lightweight Hunting stock. Tikka stock was not very desirable and the Manners is rock solid and lighter. Whole thing comes in just under 7lbs.
