Where to find tikka t3x ss 7mm08?

I think beretta probably imports tikka’s only a couple times per year based on seasonal consumer demand, combined with production cycle. So hypothetiically Im guessing the entire year’s supply (or at least the majority) arrives in the US in may or june-ish. It then gets shipped to distributors and retailers over the summer, so they are available before hunting seasons when most of them are purchased. Then supply dwindles until spring when the big restock comes again.
If true even to a degree, you’re simply looking at the worst time of year, when there are the fewest guns available. But yeah, 7-08 is not the most popular cartridge option either.

If you order from a retailer that is anything but a big-box store, they will be able to tell you their ordering and delivery timeline, ie they can tell you when they place their tikka order and once done- can tell you to within a month or so of when they will receive that tikka order.

That's helpful and makes sense. It's also after Xmas so another big wave probably got sold recently. I might just have to backorder from a distro if a t3x is what I want, ill keep watching gunbroker.

Define “better.”

In this case, “better” is in the eye of the beholder. I didn’t intend to buy a T3. The rifle I got was mislabeled. I researched the thing to see if I had gotten screwed somehow. The two things that seemed at all meaningful to me were that the T3X recoil lug is made out of steel, not aluminum. Bolt shroud is made out of aluminum, not plastic. It cost me $30 and a few minutes to “upgrade” those two parts on my T3 using new T3X parts.

I probably have called mine t3x but doubt I have one except the 223 I bought my daughter this summer. Ive had them a pretty good while now so bet they're regurlar t3s. The only thing Ive paid attention to has been twist. The 223s are 8 along with a 260. The 243 is a 10 and loves 95nbts. It actually is with a friends son and where it will stay. He does it proud and has stacked up several bucks with it. If the recoil lug is part of the difference I suppose the one in a rokstok has the steel lug?

I'm a righty, that's a great deal, they do exist
Im not advertising for them, but my last 4 firearm purchases have been through our Nashville BP. Been super easy, they pay for shipping to the store, only charge the 10$ back ground check, I have been in and out as quick as 30 minutes... You just have to look at their inventory daily in the used section, because if it is a good deal, it is gone the next day....also if you purchase from a state with no sales tax on firearms, like West Virginia, you dont pay the sales tax either.
