Kuiu only makes a vest. Sikta used to make an entire winter jacket but now only a light weight one.

Who makes a cold weather hard core winter jacket in blaze for those conditions the require it?

ebay. All kinds of name brand old school insulated parkas for Michigan, Wisconsin December white tail hunting.

Nunatak will make you a coat with orange face material.

I like to have the versatility of a vest because you never know what type of weather you will encounter in a season. For me, hunting three different states gun seasons where there are orange requirements, anyways. It can be 60, 40 with rain, or 20 or less, with snow. Just something to think about. If you really want a jacket, I believe Ovis makes some upland jackets with orange.

Look at upland jackets, many of them have some blaze orange on them and are DWR. I have a McAlister upland jacket that has blaze upper and arms, Orvis and Cabelas also have similar jackets.

My thoughts around it so I'm fine with a vest during steady state conditions, IE if I need a durable/warm jacket non-stop I'll put that on and a vest over. Where I wanted an orange jacket was something to toss on quickly while stopping to glass that didn't require me to take the vest off, put the jacket on, put the vest on and then reverse that when moving again. So for that I wanted a light weight puffy to take the chill off. After lots of looking, including at the OR stuff (didn't have my size in the onsale jackets) I rolled the dice on a puffy from lands end in bright orange. Haven't gotten it yet so no feedback yet.
