Where do you buy Sportsmatch rings online?

Debated getting a mtn tactical pic rail for my Tikka but read a lot of good reviews re: Sportsmatch rings. Figured I might try them, but I can’t seem to figure out where to order online! I’m usually pretty good with internet searches, but I’m lost. Anyway, if you know where to buy T084 rings, let me know. Thanks.

Oh, and would they be as solid as say a Mtn Tactical rail/Seekins rings combo? That’s my other choice and I already have the rings. This is going on a magnum caliber Tikka so recoil will be a bit stout until I add a brake.

eBay from Michael Tawn airgun supplies is where I’ve ordered my last few sets.

You the man! Popped right up. For $45 that’s a good price. I was about to drop $60 on the Mtn Tactical base, plus I spent $100 on the Seekins rings.

So for $40 are we really talking about a similarly solid product? Just worried about recoil, but I like the integrated lug. This is going on a T3 receiver, not T3X if that matters. The T3 only has one recoil lug in the receiver, whereas the T3X has one on each end I believe.

I have them on my SL T3 - granted its only on a lowly 7MM-08 but so far no problems. I did put the little pin into the front ring and so far so good with this medium heavy scope.

Looking at a set of these myself. Are the TO84 a specific height vs other models or is there a height selection? Which rings (height) are fitting nice with swfa 42mm scopes? Thanks.

Using the SWFA 42mm objective, you’ll want the T084. The T084 is a specific height model. You would want the taller model if using a 50mm obj.

I’ll be trying them on the SWFA 3-9, and heard the T084 work with pretty much all the SWFA’s except maybe the 5-20HD.

Read the reviews of the seller on Ebay. Lots of counterfeit items on Ebay, especially airsoft crap made to look like the real deal. If he is selling fake stuff, it should be in the reviews. I'm sure he is legit. Good Luck !!

Edited for clarity (I hope): Not familiar with this seller, Just check the reviews of ALL sellers on Ebay due to the counterfeit items that are being passed as genuine items. A check of above mentioned seller's reviews, he looks legit and good to go. Hope this clears my post up a little.

Michael Tawn airguns? I just checked and he has over 17,000 all 5 star ratings. Are we not looking at the same vendor?

Yes you would want the T084's, thats the ones in the picture - scope is a 10x42 and you can see no problem with clearance between scope and barrel.

And that link to Michael Tawn Airguns is where a bunch of guys over on 24hrcampfire have ordered from with no problems.

I ordered a set a few weeks ago from Tawn Airguns and they showed up in 8 or 9 days. Not bad considering they came from the UK.

From Tawn on eBay. The place in Arizona talked to me like I was clueless. I think they just do air rifle stuff.

Have you had any issues with ejecting cases striking the side turret and falling back into the action, while using TO84’s? I’ve heard that’s been an issue for some using low rings on the tikka tx3 and the swag scopes.

Negative for me. I’m using those rings with a SWFA 3-9. Never an issue with the breads hitting.

I had that problem on a different Tikka with a 20MOA rail and Seekins mediums however.

Brass bounces back into the port like it was designed to do so on my T3 270 win with the 3-9 swfa and those mounts. I monkeyed with it a bit to try to fix it, but I’m going to hunt with the turret removed and a plastic cap on it. There is no issue with the turret off, brass misses by a mile. I really don’t like the width with the turret anyway.

what is your chambering? I was wondering if it only the long brass of LA cartridges.

Not really - it seems to bounce off the turret and out. It is taking the paint off the turret where it hit but so far so good. Besides - I only ever need one shot;)

What plastic cap did you find that fits well? I have a tikka that bounces brass back into the chamber, too.
