Where are the Tikkas at? Gen 2 coming?

Went to look for a Tikka roughtech at a couple local gun stores the past days. No one has hardly any Tikkas around, couple superlights and a predator, the guy at the sportsmans warehouse told me it is because Tikka has a gen 2 coming out, so everyone is blowing their inventory =out in anticipation. i cant find anything about that online though, are they just hard to get ahold of?? If so maybe I should jump on the modeI I want online, and have it shipped...

There are new models, barrel lengths, etc.

I recall a rep. saying March on one of the SHOT show videos.

Eurooptic has some current generation Tikkas still in stock if you can't wait that long.

I ordered two from Europtics last week for a pretty good price. One is a 223 and the other a 270 that will be re-barreled to a 6 creed.

When does it say those are going to come in? I ordered one last Monday and it still hasn’t come in yet. Ordered through a store so I don’t have any tracking info yet I’d have to ask the store.

Bought a T3X stainless 6.5 PRC off Euro Optic for $679.

It’s not threaded but oh well, I’ve got other rifles I can run a can.

Did you order it from EuroOptic? I ordered one from EuroOptic on Tuesday afternoon (2/11). About an hour later I received an email from them with the UPS tracking number. It shipped that same day even though I did not order it until mid-afternoon. Tracking showed that on Wednesday "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery", so there wasn't much movement on Wednesday. It's now showing that it is out for delivery this morning. So...order placed mid-afternoon on Tuesday, weather delay on Wednesday, out for delivery on Friday...not bad.

They where delivered on Wednesday 2/12 and ordered on 2/6.

I'm waiting to see the new threaded versions as I'm needing a .223 for training/kids hunting... hoping for 18" or 20" but if they come out at 22+ I'll still need to cut/thread and could've just gotten a lite right now. Q3 feels like forever away.

A cut/thread is a simple job for a gunsmith. Unless you're wanting a cartridge they may or may not have, I'd be getting one on sale and taking it in to get the barrel length I want. There's a handful of guys locally doing it.

Yeah, I have a barreled action on the way to Kampfeld right now. It's simple and not expensive, but since the money for a rifle's not burning a hole in my pocket I don't mind waiting to see. The extra $150-$200 for cut/thread/ship is a decent chunk of the Credo I'll put on it.

Have new prices been posted even? I'd be cautious that the new threaded versions are going to be more expensive than getting one on sale and having chopped/threaded to your desired spec.

I killed several with a stainless T3x Lite with nothing on the muzzle. Sacrilege

Yep they are pretty good about getting product out the door quick.

I have literally ordered scopes from Eurooptic.com mid afternoon and received them the next day during lunchtime from 625 miles away.

Gunsmith fees add up, but the toughest part is how long it takes to come back from the smith. I would love to have a 223 and a 6creed with all the specs and wishlist above (shorter/threaded barrel). What is everyone doing for stocks with the rokstok being out of stock?
