When Do You Leave?

Leaving at 10pm Wed 9/6, driving overnight. Will be back home sometime Friday 9/15 mid-day to catch my son's Homecoming Football game Friday night.

Plans are to leave after work on 9/13. 22 hr drive to western NM
I guess I won’t complain about my 15 hour drive to Colorado anymore. I sure prefer the 8 hour drive to southern NM though. We need a thread on who has the longest drive. 22 hours is a haul. I did 26 a few years back to Idaho. No fun!

09/20 for eastern Wyoming Pronghorns, back 09/27 hopefully with 2 bucks and a bonus doe in the ice chests, heading for the freezer.

9/14. Elk hunt starts 9/15 to 9/24. Will be there in about a 3 hour drive for the mandatory orientation and pay the special use permit fee. The joys of drawing a truly great tag on an 80k acre elk glory hole.

Leaving middle of the night on 30th, first week of archery Colorado draw, get back on the 11th. After reading these posts, trying to figure out how to go for 30 days and stay married. Maybe those conjugal visits mentioned above would help…then again, prolly not

Good luck Paul! I'm not leaving until about 9/8 or so for MT. Really hoping to call one in for my son who hasn't killed one with his bow yet. I've got a bull tag so will stay until I connect, or archery season ends.

I am leaving Missouri on 9/13 for Wyoming. I’ll return sometime after that. Then headed to New Mexico on 10/19 with a rifle tag. The best time of the year is upon us!

When I start reading through 4 pages of "leaving in 2 days" when I still have 2 weeks to wait...

I have a long 45 minute drive to my first camp spot this Friday evening. Then I am hunting on and off for 18 days through September.
