Whats your strategy for packing and then staying organized at your cot space in your camp's wall tent. Our camp has about 8-10 guys in the wall tent. Space is always limited to our bunk area for storage....otherwise it stays in the truck or goes into an enclosed trailer that one of the guys brings. Anyway, I use a cabela's cot with a tree at each end and a cot side nightstand (organizer that hangs along the front). Bins go underneath the cot.

I have recently started using packing cubes which I am liking. Thought about trying to make some type of shelf system etc spanning over the cot but haven't got past just thinking about it. Any ingenious ideas out there for organizing or creating more space? and yes brining less s**t is an easy solution but looking for other options.

How big is the tent!? Bring less stuff is the best way. But until you figure that out, here's what I do. Four guys and a stove in a 14x17. The black and red home Depot bins stow perfectly under my cot. Davis tent hanging organizers work really well for smaller items.

I watched my wife use them for years. Seemed kinda nice, I just never thought to get my own until I was actively packing.

Way more handy than I thought they'd be.

Last night I discovered my wife and daughters use them to store hair care products and nail polish and such. Clearly I need to catch up! 😂

Have you considered bringing your own tent? I can't imagine a tent big enough for 8 to 10 guys. It doesnt have to be anything fancy, just your own space for sleeping and storing gear.

Exactly, she mostly used them for stuff I don't pack!

Literally never had a problem with cosmetics, hair products, or bras when packing! Lol

I’m usually solo so organization is severely lacking!

Crazy how fast things get out of sorts!

This is a good question. If your hunting outside the shelter all day or during strategic times creating efficiencies at the bed roll can be really beneficial. I won't attempt to say how to do it because quit honestly I seem to do it differently every time. I do encourage you to establish order and know where your stuff is and place it well. I do like a foot locker of some type and even an above head locker. I keep my wet and stuff and piss bottle off one side and place a small ground cover where my feet go. I like to have a small end table of some type, usually a cut log, basically where I can keep a few items that go undisturbed. At the end of the day when I'm tired and maybe low on enthusiasm after a failed stalk or strenuous effort I want my creature comforts accessible. Nothing wrecks a camp more than a bunch of grown ass men bitchin about where their bits are. Get your routine established early and stick to it. Then look after your homies and help around camp....cut wood, filter water, clean shit up and contribute. With some effort and consideration, you will have a group of guys that will invite you out again. Cheers and hunt smart
