what scope is that? is that the fixed 10x? ive been trying to figure out their weightYou got it, he helped me with almost every aspect of the rifle/scope combo. Now working with a 139 Scenar load he started me with.
I am still a novice to this long range thing, and it is guys like Pat who really shine through by helping others.
Yep, PMII 10x42.what scope is that? is that the fixed 10x? ive been trying to figure out their weight
Been looking at ways to lighten my load. My current rifle is a rem 700 sendero in 300wm, weighing in at about 12lbs unloaded. Tossing around the idea of a new rifle, mainly only considering a tikka or savage in their respective lightweight models. But if there are other options under $1k I’m all ears.
Get a muzzle brake. I went with the Christensen Mesa for a light rifle cause it came with a brake that I swapped out for an APA. What you could do is keep your gun cut the barrel to 20 or 22" and put a brake on it. Then get a lighter stock and scope set up.The weight sounds awesome but my shoulder already hurts thinking about it. Think I’d almost have to go 308 to not have an involuntary twitch. Couldn’t shoot 300 WIN MAG enough to beat that out of me. My shoulder would fall off first.
