What’s your pick for “best bang for your buck” RF ?

If I got them I’d spent the 1800 dollars and end up buying what I really want shortly after. It would cost me more.
Huh? I’m confused. Not sure how that pertains to my comment. The Swaro ranging binos have a weak laser, and are outperformed by may other options, even significantly cheaper options. This is especially shown in bad weather. Why spend $4k on a pair of rangefinding binos when the ranging capability is sub-par?

Swaro has always been out of my comfortable price range. Yes they’re the best, buy once cry once, totally. There’s just too much gear to buy to commit 2-3x the $ for one single piece of the system. “ I’m never going to financially recover from this “

I thought this too. Then I bought the swaros, and now I’m ruined. I don’t think I can go back now….they are seriously enjoyable to sit behind and I now find myself looking for any reason to get behind them. But I get it, they’re defiantly not for everyone’s budget. I have also found the ranging and ballistics to be accurate and reliable on mine.

I know the revics are less expensive and highly regarded on this forum. Another option.

The swaros I tried were awesome.

Maven RF.1 is the best i've ever used and one of few with a lifetime warranty!! Had a Leupold fail and die when i needed it on a big muley buck.

I almost got ruined 😅. I made the mistake of looking through my friends new EL 12x and they almost made me cry. They’re so nice. 😭

I’m running mostly Vortex and Zeiss glass, One Athlon rifle scope. So that tells you were my budget is at. I might try to pick up some nicer Maven RF binos, probably used or a Black Friday deal or something along those lines

Well, something to shoot for down the road. They’re worth it once you set them up on a tripod and do a long session. I’ll be going for a set of NL Pure 14X next. I’ll sell some stuff to pick those up…Might be awhile…something to shoot for…

I’m a few months into the GPO 8x40 rangefinding binos. Been fast easy and accurate. I think they are around $650 right now

Haven’t been able to find the RF1 in stock … what do you think about the lower tier Maven ?

Or has anyone seen better RF deals for Black Friday?

Thanks for the replies guys. In the past I just used one RF for archery and rifle but maybe I need to think about RF binos for rifle and just a basic/cheap RF for archery. I don’t like using RF binos for archery as it’s just not as discrete, ranging when animals are in real close…

Ranging for rifle with binos is a game changer.
Much easier to get an accurate range.

I really like the cheaper Leica geovid r.

The swaros I tried were awesome.
Have you looked through the Leica Geovid R's? I have compared the swaros, leica geovid R, leica geovid pro, and zeiss victory rf.

The only things the Leica R's give up to the swaros are ballistics and some softness at the edge of the FOV on the leicas. The center FOV on the leicas is as good or better than the swaros, probably just viewer preference on color rendition. And the laser is better on the Rs. I couldn't get the swaros to reliably range a deer at 950 yards on an overcast day.

For a $2k savings with the leicas, I'll carry a dope card for ballistics and have the same optical performance with a better laser, just my two cents.
