What's your Luxury Elk Hunting item?

The main 'luxury' item I bring on hunts is a Crazy Creek Hex 2.0 chair for back support and cushioning for glassing, mid-day naps, etc. They're bulky but pretty light, and I use them under my sleeping pad for a bit of extra protection and insulation.

I've been pondering that....Looking at the Vortex Fury HD 5000. They have 15% off right now, so that'd put them at $850.

Only hangup is I just bought a set of Vortex Vipers last fall. LOL
LRF Binos seem like a pretty good option. For me this would free up some room on my chest by removing the stand-alone LRF.

Upgrade a scope or rangefinder

Could use a Rangefinder upgrade.

Lets explore that idea. For the guys that have Rangefinding Bino's how do you feel that impacts you when archery hunting elk and trying to get last second ranges when working an elk in to a setup?

For long range viewing and rifle hunts, the LRF Bino's hit all the boxes. For archery I'm curious if it could become a limiting factor when trying to range trees 30-40 yards away?

Thoughts?

My 2 best additions in recent years:
-Benchmade Meatcrafter knife
-Zoleo

Older item that still kicking:
-Cabelas camo space rain tops/bottoms, they've been flawless hunting/packing in the rain

Good Luck!

Upgrade your Binos. Go with 10x32 Razor UHD. Light, Small, massive field of view, and so much better than the Fury. I am not a fan of rangefinding Binos personally.

Rangefinding Binos are not for archery IMO unless you're guiding. Trying to one-hand a range through a crack in the trees while a bull is trying to pick you out would be dang near impossible.

I find myself firing up my stove to whip up hot coffee or oatmeal, mtn house or even just to warm up way more than you would believe. When you're cold....warm chow is what keeps you going while the others head down the mountain.

A shower system with hot water. It’s a great investment. You sleep so much better after a shower. And if you’ve been wrestling dead elk, it sure is nice to wash the stink off.

I wouldn't buy luxury anything until you have fantastic optics. "Solid" is not ideal for something as critical as your glass.
