What's your go to diaphragm for location bugles?

Phelps for me.

Depends on how the diaphragm fits your mouth. I use the Maverick for everything. Switch to the pitch black 2 if the maverick is sounding too big for him.

Probably get made fun of (mixing brands) but I run Rocky Mtn Contender 2.0 in a Phelps Unleashed tube. From the first moment I used the Contender even as a beginner I was able to get great sound out of it. I think they had it marked as a moderate to high skill level call, but I guess I just got lucky, and it fit my mouth perfect. It was the first diaphragm call I tried too so I got super lucky. I have tried a few different ones since just to see but nothing worked as good for me.
