I’m resurrecting this thread because I’m looking for a better rangefinder for both archery (angle comp) and rifle hunting out west. I got by with the Leupold Full Draw archery rangefinder for a a while but it’s not good for distances past 800. It also has a black display and I want LED.
I’m toying with the idea of getting rid of my 8x42s, used primarily for stalking, going with a higher powered rangefinder for stalking for less clutter. I’ve found that i don’t really use the 8x42s all that much. I usually spot them with my 15s, plan a stalk, then use my rangefinder to find them when I get within 300 yards. Anyone else go this route?
