7mm RM, 270 Win, 7mm-08, 6.5 CM, 308 have all worked and I can't say one has worked better than the other. . This year I'll be trying the .243 & maybe my 22-250AI.

Details on the AI? That's a unique round no one in my friend group would even know about lol

I've traditionally hunted bears in my home state of PA with a 7mm Rem Mag. I killed my first bear and only bear to date there my last year as a resident. 139 gr Interlock on a 250 lb sow. She didn't go far, but there was no blood. Based on our extensive experience and knowledge of the spot, we walked up to where she laid with little to no effort.

This spring I will be running my new .280 AI.

I've used 9.3x62, .303, .308, 8x57, 7rm. I've seen bears taken with 6.5cm, 300wm, 30-06 and 7.5x55.

I plan to use my 45/70 this spring.

It's the 22-250 blown out with minimal taper and a 40 degree shoulder. I'm shooting 80gr ELDms @3200 out of a 20" barrel. Ballisticaly similar to the 22 Creed.
