What's the widest air mattress out there that's packable?

I tried my standard sized 20" wide Big Agnes Q Core last weekend and we didn't get along. I move around too much and my arms would fall off the thing. The widest mattress I've found is 25". Is there another company that makes one wider?

This might be overkill for what you need, but I have been very impressed with the lightspeed air bed for a wide mattress. It is a "double" air mattress that is 55" wide and weighs in at 6 lbs, which isn't ultra light (obviously) but is much less than other camping mattresses of similar size.. Because it uses a battery operated pump, Luke and I usually take it only on atv or boat based trips where weight is less of a consideration. Still, I think you might be able to inflate it with a foot pump or inflation bag with a little ingenuity. It's far superior to the other "double mattresses" I have slept on, I.e. Way more comfortable and lighter weight too... Likely overkill for one person who plans to backpack in, but still figured I would offer it as an alternative. We got ours on sale at Costco for $60.

Thermarest makes some in the 30" range, but they are their heavier camping type air pads. All 3+ pounds. There are a couple companies that make double wide pads, but they are all 7+ pounds. Not really anything I'd want to carry. You might try two sleeping pads, if you can find something to keep them from spreading apart. Duct tape? Otherwise, have you given sleeping hammocks a try. Look at Hennesy Hammock.

Exped wide mats are 26" and are available in the Ultra Light synthetic or down lines.

We routinely use a Velcro coupler from exped to keep sleeping pads together. Luke and I sleep in double sleeping bags the majority of the time, and coupling the pads together keeps the lighter of us (I.e. Me :)) from having to sleep in the crack all night. Lightweight and easy to use with various width mattresses.

Thanks everyone and thank you Becca for the suggestion. Cabela's has a twin size mattress that weighs 6lbs. for $24.99. I need to weigh my pack first and see if I can add the additional 6lbs to it. Otherwise I will stick with my thermarest Zlite sol and thermarest air pad for this season.

Bookmarking Stephenson's as well. Thanks for the tip.
