What’s going on with Hanwag?

Hanwag is selling Yukons and Trappers for 60% off, and the boots are marked “final sale”. Anybody know what’s going on? Are they discontinuing the boots, and/or the lasts? Last series with gore-Tex forever chemicals?

If you select California as your state it won’t let you add certain boots to your cart. Pfas chemicals is my guess.

Ordered a pair of alverstones on wednesday for $250 cad. Got them friday, they fit well so decided to order another pair today. They were $150 cad now…2 pairs for $400 bucks is crazy cheap.
Ordered 2 pairs of crispis about 4 years ago, and got hit with a duty bill 6 weeks after getting and wearing both pairs. I did call crispi and if I recall they did cover half the duty. They still shook out right at $700 cad a pair…

And you’d be correct. Quite a few of the big outdoors companies- MSR, Thermarest, Big Agnes, etc- have been blowing out old stock made with PFAS chemicals. Sometimes it’s just the stuffsack that leads to the smoking deal…

Probably the Makra light, although it’s shorter height. I think they’re all generally a bit stiffer than Laponias.

I ordered a pair of Makra pros. I found this exact thing to be true. Same size as nikes fit good but narrow. Gonna try some boot stretchers....

Really? They say “wide alpine last” and I was about to order those to gain some width from my Alverstone.
