I found a couple of old pics of my dad and the deer he and his buddies shot around Wheeler Peak NV in 1963. My dad shot the big 3x3 on the left. Any ideas what he might score? I know the pic quality is not very good, it's an iPhone pic of a picture from 1963.
Ill put in my guess for you.
Because he is a 3 pt he is not really going to "score" well and we really cant see that passenger side fork to compare symmetry.
He looks to be ~26" wide 23"inside spread. 22" mainbeams, Good front forks ~9" deep G4s. Missing G3s. 10" tall G2s. 4"G1s. H1 5", H2 4", H3 missing, H4 4" for 9" of mass per side. Total that up and I get 117"
I would say 150"-155" depending on mass measurements.. Ill try to post a picture of a buck my master guide killed on the same mountain in the early 70s
The only thing on that 3x3 that might come even close to 150 is his weight. He has nice width, but no mass and there is no way a 3x3 like that will go very high even though he's a nice deer.
