Does anybody use this in the backcountry?

Looks like a cool way to share locations, it seems a downside would be going to other platforms ie handheld GPS or maps.

Asking this question again for an update for an old thread. Anyone using this at all? A friend at church is a fire fighter in Colorado Springs and was telling me they use this all the time. Just used it last week or so to find someone on a trail who was injured. He was stating most search/rescue folks use it exclusively, atleast around there he said.

I've had this app on my phone for a long time but never have really used it. Always thought it was really great way to pinpoint locations with buddies.

I think I'll download it just to have it for a location service if the need comes up since I don't always have my Garmin with me during the summer.
