What vane for springy rest

if you're not able to totally remove vane/fletching contact, AAE tradvanes are about the only solution out there that are soft enough. If you can find a tune without any contact, then about anything will work.
I’m going to be shooting a springy, and was just going to shoot trad vanes, but I hate fletching them, so am going to start with airazr 26’s, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll know it’s a me problem

I'm curious what the issue is with fletching the trad vanes? I see this comment quite a bit and I've never noticed an issue with fletching them....although I only fletch a handful of arrows with them to use when it rains, they're not my daily shooters.

This^ What I did was put tape on the edges of the AAE mini-max to build out the arms so the trad vane bases will rest on them.
I use hvac duct tape and then a razor to cut the slits, makes fletching them somewhat tolerable.

Once I really got a good tune dialed in and shooting regular plastic vanes off the shelf I haven’t bothered with the trad vanes since they also rip and tear so easy.

They aren’t that bad, like others mentioned, soft small bases, it’s just more tedious… when I was shooting them, I would break up fletching into a few days because my mind has a hard time with tedious for long periods of time. I would almost guarantee I would be diagnosed with adhd if I was checked, I like fletching other vanes a lot more

I do only use a bitz for what it’s worth

So I went ahead and 4 fletched the taipans with a 7” one stringer wrap and ip5 nock. All said it’s 50grns on the back of the arrow. No contact or marks on the white vanes and they’re flying very well

AAE Hybrids and springy off my Widow. No activator needed, easy to stick and bombproof. You can tune any vane off the springy. The Push has a great tuning series that is worth every penny.

Yeah they were really a joy to glue up over the trad vanes, I just used gorilla gel and let theM sit for 10 seconds, we’ll see how long the hold up after I do some squirrel patrol
