What trail cam is everyone using these days

I use stealthcams, I have several models and am happy with all of them. In my area they need to be secured and I like that they have unit specific metal bear/security boxes.

I'm on my 2nd year of using the Reveal Cellular Tactacams, 14 of them out there in action with 0 defects or issues. Cell cams are game changers. Time saved and eventually pay for themselves. I think I paid $119/per. Price Performer.

Camofire has trail cams on Tuesdays, I have a few of the cheapest ones, typically $25-$35 and they’ve worked great. Only issue I’ve had is setting them too low and having elk move them out of position.

Spy point solar have been doing well for me the last 4 years. I tried to use the cell link that attaches to the camera but the area I hung it in did have good enough service.

I use cuddelink with the cell option. You can get non cell versions that work by gathering images and having them all on your "HOME" camera. This interested me for the fact I only need to go to one camera to check them all.

Have found the Tactacam to be nice. Had an issue, sent it back to them, got it repaired and back quickly. Pic quality seems fine to me.

As for cell cams, we use Moultrie, Spypoint, Tactacam, Muddy, and Stealth Cam. My favorite non-cell camera is the Primos Proof-Cam 01 Gen 2. They are easy to use, batteries last a long time, and take great pics. I’m upset Primos quit making them. Luckily I just found 2 new in the box at an auction a few months ago.

i really like brownings. There cellular and non-cell cameras. I have four 6+ year old brownings that are still chugging a long. Yes they aren’t the cheapest up front, but I think they’re a great value in the long run. The battery life on them is exceptional as well I was a tactacam fan until I realized how many pictures it took, but never sent me. I was extremely frustrated and it wasn’t just on one camera. I have since took them down and they are for sale. Moultrie deltas took their place and are 3x better as far as sending me pics and photo quality in general- not to mention battery life as well.

Brownings have done well for me. I have two that are seven years old and only leave the woods once a year for a couple of weeks.
I have four of the Command Ops of different vintages and they have not let me down.
Only Browning that I had to retire was from leaking batteries.

I just got a Tactacam Reveal X cell cam for Christmas. I've only had it out a week. I haven't gotten as many pictures as I expected. I have a regular trail cam close by so I'm curios to see if it's the camera or my spot just died down. Picture quality is good and the app is pretty easy to use. I think it was right around $100. See how long it lasts. I also have a few super cheap Tasco cams. They were around $25-$30 each. I think I got them from Tractor Supply on sale last year. Pictures are good and if someone steals it, not a big deal. They are no frills but I'm pretty happy with the results.

I bought a pile of wildviews for $40 a pop at dicks at the end of last season. Pictures are good for the price and it won't hurt as bad if someone steals one off public. No issues in the first year of running them.

Have had good experiences with 5 out of 6 stealth cams. One stopped printing the date/time/etc on the pictures. My 2 Brownings have provided the best picture and video quality and I haven't had any issues running them for years now.

If money isn't an issue, Id go with Reconyx. I have purchased all types of different name $100 cameras and just to have them make it a year or less.

I have Reconyx, SpyPoint, Primos, Tasco, Cudde, Bushnell, Muddy, and WGI. For the money the cheap $29 Tasco is hard to beat with great battery life. Could not find any Tasco at local WallyWorld so I ended up with a 2 pack of Muddy for $75 less $10 coupon from Tractor Supply. Good cameras not very good pic quality but the battery life is great also. I used these on my bowblind setups. Bushnell have been the best camera, with great battery life and take the best pics. The older Primos Truth cam is 9 yrs old and still get great battery life with good pic quality. Reconyx takes the worst pics of all my trail cams but it has more adjustments and great battery life. I added 2 SpyPoint Cell-Links this past 1.5 yrs now and use them on my Bushnell Cams. I got the Cell-Links for $39.99 with free shipping from Academy. Use the Nationwide plan with unlimited pics for $15/month with no contract and get 1 to 5 bars of signal strength depending on location. Battery life is about 5,000 to 6,000 photos. It will send pics with one bar just takes a bit longer than with 2 or more bars and I use 2 hr intervals. Best battery life is 1-2 per day. I have used them on my Tasco, SpyPoint, Primos and now the Bushnell.

For my deer lease, I just bought the highly rated cheap ones on Amazon and have had really good luck luck with them. 3 years in and they take great pics, batteries last a good while, but they don't have cell service. The brand I bought was Campark.
