What to get for hunting and gun gaming

TLDR going to be doing a few mulie + Elk hunts in 2026 and 2027 permitting, also going to a shooting course @ Hatt Creek this november. Most of my packs are smaller stuff for matches and local hunting in Kansas, but I want something more "robust". I currently have a stone glacier, but it sorta lacks for rifle carry in the config I want.

I don't really want to get eberlestock, so I feel like the next choices are either Kifaru, some sort of Mystery Ranch (maybe an overload?) or even an EXO mountain Gear.

Any ideas or inputs from people that hunt West of Kansas, in colorado, idaho, et cetera?

Also, will be doing (possibly) some 2 day matches with lots of walking.

What type of rifle carry configuration are you looking for? I’d say the stone glacier carries similar to most of the other packs out there besides Kifaru gunbearer.
