I am going to be in Fort Worth for the next few days and was wondering if anyone on here lives in the area and had any recommendations for things to go and do or see while I’m here for a few days? Thanks!

Some of the nostalgic things would be the Stockyards (some good restaurants to be had there), Billy Bobs (an old Honky Tonk). catch an event at Bass Performance Hall if something to your liking is in town. Amon Carter or Kimball art museums. Might be a rodeo or two in town while you are there.

I am not local but have spent a lot of time in FW. Rail Head is great BBQ. I really like Kincaids for an awesome cheeseburger. H3 Ranch is a great place for dinner. My usual there is a smoked sirloin but anything is good. The Stockyards area is always a hit for out-of-towners. If you have some time, drive over to Dealey Plaza where JFK was assassinated.

Look for Mexican breakfast between NE 28th St and E Northside Dr... tons of great restaurants

Joe T Garcia's for lunch
Amon Carter museum for great Western art
Wander the Stockyards
Riskys BBQ downtown for unlimited beef ribs
Evening in Sundance Square

Checkout
Defender Outdoors Shooting Center
Military Museum on Green Oaks Rd

The countryside, especially west of town is beautiful but you kinda need a local to show you the spots. There's a great Vietnam War museum in Mineral Wells if you don't mind a short drive out of town.

Enjoy Fort Worth
