What to build - Ruckus - standard bolt face

Well, this is the question that has led me to join this forum. I have a Ruckus tactical, standard bolt face that I just don’t know what to do with.

I’ve never found myself in this scenario LOL. I have always had something different I wanted to play with, never wondering what to do next. Until now.

The idea for this build will be hunting whitetails with a lot of range time as well. I like playing at distance however, 90% of my hunting shots will be closer range. Let’s say sub 500. Opportunities are farther in several locations but the only reason I have and would shoot farther is simply, because of the “I can mentality”.

I shoot 100% of the time suppressed and my ideal barrel length is 18”.

I have 308(s), 6.5x47, 6.5 creed, 6 ARC (AR platform), 7-08 (BLR) & 223(s).

From spending time here, understanding it is a viable option and (just realizing) that a 6 creed is not in my stable, that would be a likely recommendation. However, I just don’t know that it interests me right now.

My immediate thoughts are leaning to 7-08 (maybe an ackley) and 308 (I can’t help it, I love em).

Having said all that, what would you recommend?

Factory ammo or handloads?

6 GT? I'm assembling parts for a 20"-22" 6GT, even though I have a 20" 6 creed. Mainly for targets, maybe deer/antelope, and, Just cause....

I hand load everything. Not that I don’t shoot a fair amount of factory ammo as well, home rolled ammo is the majority.

I failed to include 6 BRA that I also have. How in the world could I leave it out?? lol. However, at 21#s it is only used for PRS and weekend fun.

The GT is interesting and would offer a little more case capacity than the BRA. But I think I might do another 6 ARC before the GT if I go towards that size of a case.

10-4. another factor in my decision is I've got about 20 lbs of Varget and the GT dotes on that stuff, or so I've heard

I don't see the appeal of 25 caliber but that's just me. 6cm with 108 eldm will kill everything just as dead as a 134gr 25 cal

I get it. So will every other caliber I have listed.

I dunno, maybe just the appeal of being something I don’t have. Something new to mess with.

I’ve killed a pile of critters with 6mm stuff. Not saying I won’t do a 6 CM. Just not what’s on my mind right now.
