what size Sitka core midweight zip t

Getting ready to purchase a Sitka Core midweight zip t and need advise on what size. My chest is 46" so that would put me at the xl size but if I wanted to wear a merino base layer under it would it fit too tight?

I would get the midweight sip t in a XL. It will be a little tight if you try and run something under it. The Sitka Core's are more made for next to skin and I personally don't double up on them anymore. I would maybe try a heavy weight zip t if you find yourself getting cold.


But with just your chest size you should be good getting just an extra large.

I guess I should have mentioned it will be for the archery season the last half of September. Seems like the temp can be all over the place. I was thinking that a shirt that I could use my merino smart wool under would be nice for the times that its too warm for the jacket but too cool for just a shirt.
