I just bought a bergara b14 hmr wilderness and have a Bushnell match pro ed for it using a 20moa egw rail , question is what height rings do I need for this. I am going with vortex pro for rings and am thinking mediums. Will this work?

Get a roll of nickels or washers or something. 2 stacks of them on the rail until the objective clears. Measure height from rail to top of stack. You may also need to add half the scope tube diameter. Thats the minimum height ring you need.

This is with medium rings will it be ok or should I go with low rings
Really depends on the objective lens

Know which power scope you want?

Are you comfortable when you get into position to shoot? That matters more than objective height over the barrel. Does it shoot well at that height for you? Aesthetically do you like it?

This picture definitely helps me out. I have the same rail but went with the EGW medium (.990) Keystone rings. I have 30mm 4-20x50mm scope and based on yours being a 56mm, mine will be higher than I prefer. I have Bergara B14 Wilderness Ridge.

The old ideal of a scope nearly touching the barrel is a thing of the past.
A bit more of an upright head position is certainly better for me.
