1.8mm is good stuff, I like Atwood 3/32 reflective cord. This stuff is good quality and relatively inespensive compared to other options on the market.

Im a fan of 325. Its strong enough I can hang from it at 160lbs and its quite a bit more compact than 550. The 1.8 seems a little small to me when pulling hard on it to get a quarter or two up in a tree.

A while ago I aquired a 1000' spool of orange dynema cord. 440 pound breaking strength and no stretch. Only thing is that it's pretty slippery. Works well for pulling over tree branches, but you better know your knots or they'll just slip out.

Check out Zpacks if you haven't already. They have some amazingly thin and strong cord. A little pricier but their 1.2mm cord is super light and has a 200 lbs breaking point - not bad! Worth the extra couple bucks to me.

Ya, that's smaller than my d-loop cord, and I wouldn't want to use d-loop cord.

Paracord holds tight, but it's also easy to untie.

For hanging meat I carry 50 ft of Aidier 2.5 mm reflective cord from Amazon. It weighs less than 2 oz for around 50 ft. and I don't mind cutting it, as needed.
