What should I do with my 7 PRC?

I have a 7 PRC I don't know what to do with. I honestly don't know what I need it for other than maybe a moose hunt coming up. I have a 6 CM and a 25 CM.

I've almost let the good idea fairy convince me I need a 6 PRC or a 25 PRC (easy neck down). I have most the stuff to reload but quit a while back.

You could tinker with it and make it what you want or you could sell it and build a new rifle. Crunch the numbers and see where you come at out ahead. Just make sure and factor in your fun time.

I honestly wouldn't consider the seven PRC as a necessity for moose either. Those moose don't do very well with significant lung damage and a lot of chamberings out there to do that.

The fun factor of a light weight 7 PRC is about a 2 compared to my other rifles. I don't really see what it does that my other rifles don't. That said my inner fud says keep it for the wallop, just in case.

Does it shoot? If so, I’d leave it alone. I think with those 3 chamberings you’d have everything covered. I love my 7PRC, it’s my main open country gun. Got the barrel early this year and have about 450 rounds down it, love shooting it.

Yea I could agree there, mine weighs damn near 10lbs all up with a can so the weight definitely helps.

Having shot my brother's 10lb 7prc--I'll never own one.
The 6.5 prc is the most wallup Ill want to carry and shoot. The difference in recoil between the two is significant IMO. As significant as 6.5 prc vs a 6.5 creed

Yeah it shoots which makes it harder to get rid of.

Sell it and turn it into a .223 trainer that duplicates your 6.5 creed and 25 creed at lower ammo cost.
or better yet, a 22 Rimfire AND a 223 set of training rifles!
