I've got 60-70 limbs on my carbon element but the guys that put on my vaportrails said it was a little over 70. Still voted 60-70 though haha carbon element. Wouldnt mind getting my hands on 70-80 limbs though....
I have hunted mostly with a 70# maxed out so 72-75# depending on the bow. I'm still waiting on my 80# CST so assuming it makes it before fall I'll be using that.
60-70 pound bow. Shoot at 70 before the season. Dial it down to 62 for hunting. I've shot from some really awkward positions, and it's nice to have an "easy" draw. I don't care if I lose 5 or 6 feet per second turning the bow down. If I ever buy another bow, I will just buy a 60 lb bow.
50 lb limbs on my recurve and longbow. Hoyt carbon matrix at 67. Kind of wish I would have got the 65 lb limbs so I could shoot it maxed. May work on more strength training and just run it at 72 or wherever it maxes. 67 is smooth and easy. You just don't have to shoot modern compounds at high poundages to be effective like years past. But it certainly affords me some extra range and speed with heavier arrows. Practice almost daily to 100 yards in my yard.
Look at the kid from Young Wild who is taking all those big game with a 41 lb Mathews Z7 extreme. Think he has a creed now.
No idea...need to get to the shop and have them check it. I have 80lb limbs on my MR6, but I have it backed off one half turn....so I'm guessing high 70's or maybe right on 80 if the limbs really top out higher than 80.
