See what I mean?
Its really hard to tell.

I thought it was a mtn lion track.... then I thought, No... canine..... but not coyote.... Bear? not so much....? mtn lion?..... wolf?....

BTW - no bobcats around there
There are bobcats everywhere in Co, you never see them though. Based on the size of the print I would say bobcat or a small lion.

It's fairly round which would say small cat, but the pictures sucks some needed details.

Here's a wolf track from this last week. Didn't have the greatest lighting.

If that is a wolf track it is a pup. Adult wolf track would be twice as big.

I think if you saw it in person you may think otherwise. It's the size of the palm of my hand. And I have really large hands. It's just not a great picture and it's I up to two days old.

It's about 4 miles from where we saw another set and a guy saw what he described as probably a large black male cross the road in front of him .

I think he was looking at the track to upper left of your hand instead of the track directly left of your hand.

This time of year wolf pups are around 70lbs or more depending on food availability. Tracks would be approaching full size almost. No nail marks visible in that track.

Mystery track is solved!

This evening I was walking the same trail in the same general vicinity, and guess what jump up and ran down the trail!

A jackrabbit!
Who’d a thunk?? 😂
